*Float the sealed bag in your tank for 20-30 minutes to match the temperature. Then, open the bag and slowly add small amounts of tank water every 5–10 minutes for about 30 minutes. After that, gently net the fish into the tank (don’t pour the bag water in). This helps reduce stress and prevent shock.

CAPTIVE BRED

Brown Bushynose plecos have a brown body with tan spots and sometimes white fin tips. Males grow facial tentacles, while females have smaller bristles. They are peaceful, small algae eaters best kept away from aggressive fish. They thrive in soft, acidic water and are easy to care for. Males guard eggs in caves until the young are free swimming. Their hardiness and simple breeding make them ideal for all aquarists.
